Huntingburg-based OFS Brands Holdings Inc. officials said today they plan to spend $81 million to expand its southern Indiana headquarters and manufacturing facility and hire more than 300 workers over the next five years.

OFS, which makes and distributes office furniture, has about 1,500 employees in Indiana. It will begin hiring production associates, supervisors, upholsters and technicians next year as it ramps up to meet increasing demand.

The family-owned company has seen its market share nearly triple since 2003; revenue this year will top $250 million.

The furniture maker will receive more than $2 million in tax credits and training grants from the Indiana Economic Development Corp. Another $500,000 will be provided by the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs for infrastructure improvements. The Dubois County community also will establish a tax increment financing district to provide additional funds for infrastructure and other on- and off-site improvements.
