BFGoodrich to lay off 70 at Allen County tire manufacturing plant

BFGoodrich plans to lay off 70 production workers at its Woodburn tire manufacturing plant indefinitely, the union vice president said today.

The company notified workers Wednesday that layoffs would begin April 12, said Joe Gengo, vice president of United Steel Workers Local 715, which represents 1,300 workers at the plant.
