Fayette, Franklin, Rush, Union counties hope Honda ripple reaches them

CONNERSVILLE, Ind. -- Say "Honda" and everyone here knows what you're talking about.

Word that the Japanese automaker will build a new plant in Greensburg -- hiring several thousand workers and paying them $24 an hour in 2008 -- has spread like wildfire in the county with the third highest unemployment rate in the state in May, the last available figures.
