United Way of Delaware County changing funding process, focus

MUNCIE -- No longer is the United Way of Delaware County focused solely on raising funds for its partner agencies.

The organization wants to encourage community members as a whole to change the lives of their neighbors for the better.

Its board of directors and staff have adopted a "community solutions business model," basing program funding on the performance of each partner agency and its ability to benefit community conditions.
