Auto supplier Tenneco bringing more jobs to River Ridge in Jeffersonville

The Illinois-based supplier will lease a 150,000 square-foot building undergoing improvements to open its new Clean Air facility by January.

Tenneco manufactures emission control products for major automotive industries including Ford and General Motors, generating a total of $8 billion in revenue from its 89 facilities worldwide.

The company is the second automotive supplier that has announced plans to locate at River Ridge, following a February announcement by Swiss-based tier-1 supplier Autoneum.

The Jeffersonville location is Tenneco’s second Indiana expansion in recent years. The auto supplier employs more than 1,200 Hoosiers in three locations.

Tenneco plans to begin hiring for the River Ridge facility in a few weeks.
