INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Cities in Fayette, Franklin, Henry and Jay counties will receive a share of the $7.7 million awarded this week to communities in 10 Indiana counties to help fight blight.
Lt. Gov. Sue Ellsperman announced the awards on Friday. The additional funds come from Indiana’s Hardest Hit Fund Blight Elimination Program.
New Castle will receive $362,000, Brookville $154,000, Connersville $75,000 and Portland $126,000.
Indiana was allotted $221.7 million from the federal Hardest Hit Fund.
