Politics aside, invasive carp a nuisance in Lafayette area

While the political waters swirl over the threat posed by Asian carp to the Great Lakes economy, the invasive species appears to be growing steadily in the Lafayette area.

"People are seeing massive schools of them in the Wabash in downtown Lafayette," said Bryan Abbott, who owns Abbott's Outdoors, a Lafayette bait and tackle shop.
