Tropicana Evansville didn’t see much change in its visitor counts and revenue last month, though the casino did outperform the state average in both of these areas.

Tropicana reported gambling revenues of $9.5 million in June, up 1 percent from a year earlier. The casino saw 89,469 visitors, down 1 percent.

Taken as a group, Indiana’s casinos posted a total of $175.2 million in gambling revenue last month, down 3 percent from a year earlier. The casinos saw a combined 1.4 million visitors, down 6 percent from the previous year.

The numbers come from the Indiana Gaming Commission’s monthly revenue report, which was released Wednesday.

On an individual basis:

The Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceburg, near the Ohio border, posted the largest percentage drop in revenue. Hollywood’s gambling revenue in June was $13.3 million, down 14 percent from a year earlier.

The casino seeing the largest percentage gains was the French Lick Casino, posting $6.1 million in gambling revenue, up 11 percent from a year ago.

French Lick also performed best in visitation last month. The facility drew 70,946 patrons, up 1 percent from a year earlier. Other than French Lick, all of the state’s other casinos saw either no growth or declines in visitation.

The facility that saw the biggest drop in visitation last month was the Majestic Star in Northwestern Indiana. Majestic Star saw its visitation drop 18 percent, to 73,575.
