No surprise — Tom Crean, Indiana University men’s basketball coach, still has the highest of the university’s base salaries.

He tops the list for the 2014-15 fiscal year with a salary of $604,858.

The top six earners remain the same as last year, with three from athletics and three from administration: Crean, IU President Michael McRobbie, football coach Kevin Wilson, Athletic Director Fred Glass, Provost Lauren Robel and Kelley School of Business Dean Idalene Kesner.

“It’s not going to be a very different jump from year to year, unless they are new or change jobs,” said Mark Land, IU spokesman. “It’s straightforward.”

Due to a 2 percent merit raise, approved by the IU Board of Trustees in June, all members of the top 10 highest-paid have higher salaries than last year. The top 19 earners for 2014-15 all make more than last year’s top 10.

New members of the top 10 come in at spots 7 to 9: IU CFO MaryFrances McCourt at $375,000, football defensive coordinator Brian Knorr at $357,000 and former baseball coach Tracy Smith at $351,054. (Smith left his IU job in late June to become the baseball coach at Arizona State University.)
