Crider & Crider of Bloomington has been awarded a contract to build a “trumpet” interchange connecting Interstate 69 to Ind. 37 south of Bloomington.

“When completed, the trumpet interchange design will allow I-69 and S.R. 37 traffic to merge and diverge at higher speeds, while maintaining entrance and exit ramp access in all directions,” according to Indiana Department of Transportationspokesman Will Wingfield in a news release.

The intersection will be between That Road and Victor Pike.
