SPICELAND— WOW Development Corp. is no longer considering Henry County as a site for a project that the company claims could provide more than 2,500 jobs on 800 acres.

WOW’s attorney says Henry County was dropped because of the expansion of a hog farm.

“WOW Development investors are concerned about the potential smell that will be generated by millions of gallons of hog poo,” said Andrew Straw, an attorney for the investors.

Straw declined to provide The Star Press any information about the project, other than to report that it would be a “family-oriented facility, motels, restaurants and an aquaponic farm” that would raise fish and plants.
