Allen County bicentennial planners plan public art sculpture project, seeking artists

Local leaders planning Allen County's Bicentennial celebration said today they are seeking 15 artists or artist teams to paint murals on fiberglass sculptures.

Late this summer or early fall, artists will be hired to paint murals on their assigned sculpture, a news release from the Allen County Bicentennial Executive Board said. Artists are invited to submit their qualifications for consideration by a May 31 deadline. The artist application is posted on Allen County’s website.
