MISHAWAKA -- The closing of a Fort Wayne plant will result in more jobs at Nyloncraft in 2014.

The plant, which was acquired by Nyloncraft in June, is scheduled for closure by late summer 2014 with jobs and possibly employees transferring to either Nyloncraft’s Mishawaka facility or a Jonesville, Mich., plant, Nyloncraft announced Tuesday.

All told, Jim Krzyzewski, president and CEO of Nyloncraft, expects about 80 jobs will be split between the two plants.

“It should be a nice job boost for our Mishawaka plant and our Michigan plant as well,” Krzyzewski said, adding that the transition would take place over the next 10 months.
