High diesel prices aren't all bad.

Prices tend to go higher when the economy is on an upswing, said Jerry Scott, a senior vice president at Towne Air Freight.

"It was kind of stable through last winter (2010) into last summer at roughly $3 a gallon," Scott said. "And about the same time as our (Towne Air) revenue started building up last fall, it steadily started increasing."

With unrest in the Middle East, diesel prices jumped first to $3.70 per gallon and now to well over $4 per gallon.
