Facebook is most popular destination for Delaware County government workers at work
Delaware County internet activity

The following is a list of top visited Web sites among Delaware County employees from one week in August. The list involves 450 computers.

1. Facebook.com and related applications: 269,874 combined hits.

2. Lexis.com: 107,730 hits.

3. Starpress.com and its online photo galleries: 97,616 combined hits.

4. Google.com and related applications, including e-mail: 85,647 combined hits.

5. Land.allears.net (an unofficial Disney World vacation guide): 50,435.

MUNCIE -- In between collecting taxes, assessing property and administering justice, employees in Delaware County government are also obsessively tracking their friends and updating their status on the social networking site Facebook.

 public records request by The Star Press has revealed that during just one week in August, Delaware County government computers accumulated at least 269,874 hits on Facebook and its related applications, which include games.
