A newly incorporated industrial coatings supplier will establish operations in Berne and could create as many as 120 new jobs by 2018.
Indiana Coatings Inc., a woman-owned business, is an American affiliate of a company based in Ontario, Canada. It will invest about $3.8 million to locate at the former Ficosa North America plant in Berne, according to a statement issued by the Indiana Economic Development Corp.
The automotive supplier expects to begin production in January.
The IEDC offered Indiana Coatings up to $1 million in conditional tax credits. The city of Berne approved additional incentives.
