Two Muncie butcher shops are finding success in a trendy business that seems like something of a throwback: Custom-cut meats.

On any given day, but especially Saturdays, eager customers at Fisher Meats on North Walnut Street and Lahody Meats on North Wheeling Avenue line up to take their pick of precision-cut steaks and pork chops as well as lunchmeats and cheeses.

The employees at both Fisher Meats and Lahody Meats wear the crisp white coats of old-fashioned butchers as they slice lunchmeat, weigh hamburger, wait on customers and cut steaks and chicken.
