Hoosier Energy announced Monday it plans on building a new power delivery and operations facility on 95 acres of land at the intersection of Ind. 46 and Ind. 43 just east of the entrance to McCormick’s Creek State Park.
The new facility would bring 60 jobs with it, mostly from the energy company’s Bloomington headquarters.
In a news release, the energy generation cooperative, which supplies electricity to 18 rural electric cooperative in southern Indiana and southeastern Illinois, said the project will cost between $25 million and $30 million.
