SOUTH BEND -- If there's an emergency, AT&T officials said the company is ready.

That's thanks to 800 bright yellow generators that are being stored in a new facility on the property at AT&T's Distribution Center in South Bend on Ameritech Drive.

According to AT&T, the South Bend facility will store, maintain and deploy emergency equipment such as generators and command centers that will be used by AT&T during disasters and emergencies to restore service at cell sites and business and residential locations.
