MUNCIE— Delaware County’s loss is definitely Fishers’ gain, as Jarden Home Brands leaves Daleville, its headquarters since 2007 — and takes 100 employees with it.

Jarden Home Brands, the latest incarnation of a Ball Corporation spin-off, is moving its corporate headquarters from Daleville to Fishers, where it will employ 300 people.

“We’ve had a lot of growth,” Jarden Home Brands CEO Chris Scherzinger told The Star Press. “We’ve hit our capacity limit at Daleville. We’re out of offices and still hiring people.

“All of our employees at Daleville will move to Fishers,” Scherzinger said, adding that the move of 100 employees is likely to be complete by early- to mid-2015.

The departure will be felt in Daleville, one official said.

“It’s going to be a big loss for the community,” said James King, president of the Delaware County commissioners and the Daleville police chief. “I understand companies have to make business decisions, but I hate losing them.”
