Sales of existing homes in Indiana were down 6.4 percent for the first half of the year, compared with the first six months of 2013.

A report from the Indiana Association of Realtors found the median sale price of homes sold in the same period was up 3.3 percent from last year.

The percent of the original list price received in June was up 1.7 percent, to 94.6 percent, from the same month in 2013. The number of new listings was up 5.6 percent year over year.

Among northeast Indiana counties, sales for the first half of the year were up in Adams, DeKalb, Kosciusko and Wells counties and down in Allen, Elkhart, Huntington, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, Wabash and Whitley counties
