MISHAWAKA — A prominent longtime Mishawaka shopping center has a new owner.

Inland Real Estate Corp., an Oak Brook, Ill.-based real estate investment trust, announced Friday that it has completed the purchase of Princess City Plaza for $28.6 million from Newmark Grubb Cressy & Everett Commercial Co. in Mishawaka.

Constructed in 1996 and 1997, Princess City Plaza is located on Day Road between Grape Road and Main Street. The shopping plaza comprises a Kohl’s-anchored strip center, a multi-tenant building, two free-standing restaurants and a specialty grocery store.

Some of the major tenants include Dick’s Sporting Goods, Old Navy, Gordman’s, Shoe Carnival, Petsmart, Noodles & Co., Carrabba’s and Whole Foods.
