It is Time Corners' time.

One of the more modest shopping plazas on Fort Wayne's southwest side is in the midst of a $1 million renovation that owners hope will give it a modern appearance to match its retail center neighbors.

BC Wood Properties of Lexington, Kentucky, bought the nearly 80,000-square-foot mall last November from Equity Investment Group of Fort Wayne for an undisclosed sum. Allen County assessor records list the property's value at $3.6 million.

William “King” Offutt is president and chief operating officer of BC Wood. He said the plaza, which took root in 1960, is showing its age. Facade, parking lot and related improvements are underway.

Offutt expects work to be completed by December at the center at 5976 W. Jefferson Blvd.
