About 125 employees will lose their jobs at TeleServices Direct when the Lafayette office closes March 31, site director Brian Brown said.
Employees were notified Jan. 30, allowing 60 days for them to find other work.
“It was a cost-cutting measure,” he said. “They are tightening their belts.”
A corporate spokesman for the Indianapolis-based company was not immediately available for comment.
