FREMONT — The New Horizons Baking in Fremont will conduct a hiring event Feb. 17 at the WorkOne Northeast career center in Angola as it seeks to add 30 workers.
The event will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 317 S. Wayne St., Angola.
New Horizons Baking, based in Norwalk, Ohio, makes sandwich buns, rolls and English muffins for the quick-service restaurant and food-service industries.
The jobs that are available are primarily afternoon and night shifts. Among the jobs are: operating industrial mixers; working the production line; or loading product onto trailers. New hires will make $13.90 an hour to start and $14.90 after 90 days with benefits eligibility. Within six months, workers can expect to make $15.90 an hour.
New Horizons is looking for people with a high school degree or the equivalent, and a willingness to work as part of a team, learn the entire baking process and work off-shift and overtime when needed.
