The Bloomington City Council considered several topics at its Wednesday meeting, including a tax abatement and updates to the animal and traffic codes. Here’s how they voted:

Tax abatement

The council gave final approval to a 10-year tax abatement and $250,000 from the Bloomington Industrial Development Fund for a $25 million expansion of Cook Pharmica’s manufacturing and $1 million in building improvements. The expansion is expected to be complete by 2017 and add 70 new jobs and $3.2 million in new salaries three years after its completion. All new jobs will be paid more than the living wage. Passed 8-0.
