SOUTH BEND — ESPN has filed a notice with the Indiana Court of Appeals that it will appeal a St. Joseph Superior Court judge’s ruling holding that the University of Notre Dame’s campus police records are not subject to the state’s open records law.
The Bristol, Conn.-based sports network filed the notice Wednesday, the final day allowable under the statutory 30-day deadline.
ESPN has not yet filed its legal argument as to why it believes Superior Court Judge Steven Hostetler’s April 20 ruling should be overturned.
