Muncie group wants to facilitate networking, support among start-ups

Sustainable Muncie, which is redeveloping the former Cintas industrial laundry building in downtown Muncie, announced Tuesday it hopes to establish a Verge community locally.

Sustainable Muncie wants to facilitate networking and support among local business start-ups, entrepreneurs and technology sector workers, executive director John Fallon said, calling Verge “a regular gathering of people who are involved in start-up companies (who) engage in pitch competitions, networking and collaborative projects.”

The group will attempt to forge connections among people and groups that use technology “prominently” in their operations.

The Verge group plans a formal kick-off event in early October, Fallon said.
