Garrett-based Group Dekko sold to Virginia company

Group Dekko of Garrett has been acquired by an Arlington, Virginia-based diversified education and media company, the companies announced tonight.

The price Graham Holdings Co. paid GSO, the credit arm of Blackstone, for Group Dekko, an electrical solutions company, was not disclosed.

"This acquisition by Graham Holdings is a major milestone in our growth journey," said John May, chief executive officer of Group Dekko, in a statement. "Graham Holdings' financial strength and long-term investment horizon is a perfect fit for our business. We could not have found a better partner."
