Following the recent wave of racial tension on college campuses, Purdue University students have decided to take action.

On Wednesday night, the Purdue Social Justice Coalition and Students of Purdue Against Racism Coalition met to create an action plan in light of issues highlighted by a handful of racially charged episodes on the campus of University of Missouri in Columbia.

"They have ignited a fire that we thought was quelled here," organizers wrote on the Purdue Social Justice Coalition Facebook page. "Their experiences at #Mizzou are not isolated, we at Purdue have faced much racism as well."
