The University of Notre Dame raised $379.87 million in 2015, placing it 19th for fundraising among American colleges and universities for the year, according to the Voluntary Support of Education survey, conducted annually by the Council for Aid to Education.

The survey results were released Wednesday.

Nationwide, U.S. colleges raised $40.3 billion in 2015, an increase of 7.6 percent over the previous year, according to the report.
