TIPTON — The Tipton County Economic Development Organization (TCEDO) has appointed Nathan M. Kring as interim executive director effective April 1. Kring’s appointment comes after the recent resignation of Jeff Sheridan, who took a position as city manager for the City of Lowell in Lake County.6

Kring has been working as a project and communications manager since October with the local economic development organization (LEDO) and will assume the interim position for 6 months.

Kring is an honors graduate of Tipton High School and graduated cum laude from Wabash College before joining the United States Army, according to a news release. During his time in service, Kring earned a degree in Arabic and Middle Eastern Studies as well as several service ribbons for his time spent with the 10th Mountain Light Infantry Division.

After being medically retired, Kring began earning his Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in finance. He is set to graduate with a 4.0 GPA this summer, as well as earn his CPA license. Prior to joining the TCEDO, Kring worked as a private business consultant and provided financial, operational and logistical guidance to several Central Indiana organizations and businesses. Since joining the LEDO, Kring has attended numerous economic and community development conferences seeking best practices to bring back to Tipton County.
