GARRETT — The Garrett Common Council Tuesday unanimously approved the annexation of four parcels of land totaling some 95 acres into the city limits during a brief meeting.

The parcels include two city-owned properties. a .23-acre tract along the north side of Clark Street and 17.5 acres north of Ocker Park, the majority of which is a wetland. The smaller parcel will be rezoned for residential use and the larger will remain zoned agricultural under the ordinance.

Custer Farms Inc. requested annexation of the two other parcels; the larger is 67.68 acres along Taylor Road just south of S.R. 8, with the smaller at 10.58 acres just west of hole No. 3 at the Garrett Country Club. Both will remain zoned agricultural.
