BOURBON — Indiana Composites, a manufacturer of fiberglass components for the marine, RV and specialty vehicle markets, announced on Tuesday that it plans to establish operations in Marshall County and create up to 198 new jobs by 2019.

"When you think of RVs, you think of northern Indiana — the RV Capital of the World," said Jim Schellinger, president of the Indiana Economic Development Corp.

"As home to the nation's highest concentration of manufacturing jobs, Hoosiers are producing parts and assembling RVs, which are then shipped across the country and around the world," Schellinger said. "As the newest member of our state's RV supply chain, Indiana Composites is investing in the future of Indiana's economy and in our hardworking, skilled Hoosier workforce."

Indiana Composites is a new venture and a wholly owned subsidiary IMP Holdings, which is based in Angola. The company makes dashes, panels and wiring harnesses for boat manufacturers such as Bennington, Brunswick, High Water Marine, Rinker and Smoker Craft. Because of strong growth in the marine industry, IMP Holdings decided to establish Indiana Composites as a way to expand its services to new customers in the marine, RV, specialty vehicle and medical industries.
