Fort Wayne International Airport will add daily flights to Newark Liberty International Airport in September.

The new United Airlines service will operate seven days a week with a 6 a.m. morning departure from FWA and a return flight arriving in Fort Wayne at 9:45 p.m.

“We’re thrilled to provide our passengers with an East Coast connection that will not only give access to areas in and around New York City, but also provide connection to hundreds of destinations worldwide,” Scott Hinderman, executive director of airports for the Fort Wayne-Allen County Airport Authority, said in the Monday announcement.

United Airlines also operates a nonstop service from FWA to Chicago O’Hare International Airport three times a day.
