The area's most recent mixed-use development is right on schedule. When construction on GrandView — the $100 million project on the corner of Gumwood and Cleveland roads in Mishawaka — began in the fall, developer Great Lakes Capital said sections of the property would be opening in the spring.
And come mid-May, the clubhouse and leasing office will be open and the first batch of apartments will be on the market by June 1, said Ryan Rans, managing partner for Great Lakes Capital. Even without model apartments to see, Rans said, the interest in the units has been tremendous.
Of the 60 apartments becoming available in June, about half of them are already leased, he said. There will be a little more than 200 units once the entire project is complete.
In contrast to other Great Lake developments, like neighboring Toscana Park, Rans said GrandView offers numerous floor plans in the one-, two- and three-bedroom units. There are nine different one-bedroom floor plans, 10 different two-bedroom options and seven different three-bedroom options.
Some of the two- and three-bedroom models are also designed as town homes, and some include garages. There's also a mix of screened-in porches, typical balconies and Juliet balconies. You can find all the floor plans at www.grandviewgranger.com.
