AUBURN — The Auburn Common Council passed a resolution finding a company in noncompliance with a tax abatement Tuesday.

Lippert Components had received a tax phase-in to be done over five years for $750,000 in new manufacturing equipment and $50,000 for logistical distribution equipment.

The council found the company in noncompliance at its June 7 meeting, however, after learning the equipment has not yet been installed. The council held a hearing at its June 21 meeting as required by law, and moved to have City Attorney Erik Weber draw up the resolution declaring the noncompliance.

The resolution has been forwarded to the county auditor indicating noncompliance and a revocation of the tax abatement.
