Patrick Industries buys another Elkhart-based company, sees strong 2Q

ELKHART — Patrick Industries continues to grow as both the marine and recreational vehicle industries see strong growth in 2017. 

The Elkhart-based manufacturer of component products and distributor of building products serving the recreational vehicle, manufactured housing and marine industries continued that growth earlier this month with the acquisition of another Elkhart-based company, Wire Design, according to a press release. 

Wire Design is a manufacturer of wire harnesses for the RV, marine and industrial industries. They have been in business for over 30 years. 

"Wire Design is recognized as a specialized designer, engineer and manufacturer of high-quality custom wire harnesses and will afford us the opportunity to expand our offerings of wire harnesses and electrical systems to meet the needs of our customer base across several of our primary markets," said Todd Cleveland, Chief Executive Officer of Patrick. "This acquisition represents a continued growth opportunity and strategic fit in combination with Patrick's current portfolio of wire harness brands and companies."
