SOUTH BEND — Companies are turning to Aunalytics to provide data that makes them more money.

Aunalytics is turning to a growing number of tech-savvy employees to provide tools that provide the answers.

“One thing that’s so exciting to us is the technology we’re developing is typically thought of happening in Silicon Valley, but we’re doing it right here in South Bend with people just as talented,” said Heather Short-Davis, director of marketing.

Software and data engineers, data scientists and business analysts go to work in a sleek, modern office in Ignition Park, in the building next to the University of Notre Dame’s Turbomachinery Lab in the former Studebaker corridor. A data center provides computing power to do billions of calculations in minutes. Fiber going through South Bend connects it to the backbone of the country’s internet.

Combining the region’s affinity for making things with the new “knowledge economy” could drive more growth, said Greg Davis, company president. Manufacturing is undergoing a revolution, much of which is data-driven, added David Cieslak, vice president of data science.

Just about any industry can benefit from using data to become more efficient, said Kyle Davis, director of consumer analytics and a Plymouth native. Those who work for the company are excited about how it can compete in its industry, which is only about a decade old.
