The Columbia Square Shopping Center in Columbia City was recently acquired by Evansville-based Regency Properties.

The 123,340 square-foot center includes a Kroger, Family Dollar, Goody’s, Rent-A-Center and Tires Plus. Regency also acquired the Wabash Crossing East Shopping Center, a 22,763 square-foot center at 1611 N. Cass St. in Wabash; and the 107,164 square foot Monticello Marketplace Shopping Center.

Regency Properties specializes in the management of retail space in county seat communities. It invested in Columbia City because of its strong local economy, spokesman Thornton Kennedy said.
