MUNCIE — Ball State University is conducting a public forum on Monday, June 18, to receive community input as part of its "Spreading Our Wings" strategic planning process.

The theme of the interactive forum, which starts at 5 p.m. in the Horizon Convention Center, is "Even Better Together."

"For the past few weeks we have been gathering input and ideas from various constituencies including our students, faculty and staff,," Ball State spokesperson Kathy Wolf told The Star Press. "On Monday, we look forward to listening to the community about their big ideas for the future of Ball State."

The university has held eight open forums on campus focusing on different themes and now is inviting the community to recommend how Ball State can build on its relationship with the city of Muncie and East Central Indiana.

BSU is is also asking people to complete its "Spreading Our Wings" community survey, which includes these questions:
