DALEVILLE — Town officials unveiled a plan at Thursday night's Daleville Town Board meeting that would target millennials and reshape the look of the downtown.

The proposal was for a mixed-use redevelopment project planned, and a large crowd attended. The $3.7-million project, named Old Town Junction, consists of retail and office space as well as loft apartments.

Envoy Inc., the project lead, presented the idea to the public.

“This is a milestone step for the town of Daleville,” Brad Bookout with Augusta Consulting said to the crowd gathered at town hall.

Shelby Bowen, with Envoy, said his company wants to be on the front lines of revitalizing a downtown. After working with the council, the Envoy representatives saw potential in the town.

“We hope to target millennials and retain them in the area. We should be able to attract 16 to 20 people to stay and live in the community,” said Scott Baldwin, another Envoy representative.
