CLARKSVILLE — Rivera Consulting Group Inc., is planning to expand its operations and construct a new headquarters in Clarksville.

The company — which is an information technology firm that provides software development services, defense-related applications and solutions and enterprise system consulting — will move from its current location in Sellersburg to a nearby location off of Ind. 311 in Clarksville.

“Clarksville was very aggressive ... [to] keep talent in Southern Indiana,” said President of Rivera Consulting Group Dr. Joey Rivera.

Clarksville is expected to offer the company up to $1.1 million in performance-based tax credits through the town’s Economic Development Income Tax funds. The relocation will be official upon the town approving the incentive agreements.

The incentives are based on Rivera constructing a new 25,000-square-foot facility and adding 80 to 100 new high-level IT positions over three years. The expansion is expected to add a payroll of nearly $9 million, in addition to $5.6 million in real and personal property capital investment.

Rivera said that he hopes the additional employees hired will keep high paying jobs in the Southern Indiana, with the estimated salaries ranging from $80,000 to $100,000.

He added to construct the new facility — the company will move from its Sellersburg location where it is renting 6,000 square feet — Rivera will look to hire Southern Indiana contractors to keep everything local.
