An auto supplier is expanding operations in Topeka, a move that will add 143 jobs.

Nishikawa Standard Co. received a tax abatement Monday on a $3.89 million investment to construct a 71,000-square-foot building, Dewayne Bontrager, Topeka’s clerk treasurer, said Wednesday. Nishikawa Standard is a joint venture between Nishikawa Rubber in Japan and Cooper Standard Automotive. The Topeka plant, at 324 Morrow St., makes rubber seals and trim.
