2010 Census: Growth makes Bloomington 6th largest city in Indiana

Bloomington is now the sixth most populous city in Indiana with more than 80,405 residents, according to 2010 Census data released Thursday.

The city moved up one spot, ranking seventh in population a decade ago, by adding 11,114 people and edging past Gary in the rankings, according to the data. That is an increase of 16 percent.
