The draft environmental impact statement for Section 5 of the Interstate 69 project, which would extend through Monroe County along the Ind. 37 corridor, has been released and is available for public input.

The Section 5 draft EIS can be found on the Internet at www.i69indyevn.org. Copies of the documents also are available at area libraries and at the I-69 project office in Bloomington, 3802 Industrial Boulevard, Unit 2, across from Walwart on West Ind. 45, according to a news release from the Indiana Department of Transportation.

INDOT has scheduled a public hearing on the draft impact statement for 6:30 p.m. Dec. 6 in the auditorium of the Monroe County Fairgrounds. After a formal presentation, the public will be able to offer comments on the document.
