The 67-mile stretch of I-69 that opens to traffic Monday was constructed with 114,061 cubic yards of concrete, enough to fill Lucas Oil Stadium more than six times.

The 47 million pounds of reinforcing steel used to shore up bridges along the stretch of highway could have built 11,000 Toyota Sienna minivans, produced in Gibson County, which the new highway cuts through.

If laid end-to-end, the structural beams used to build the new sections would circle the 2.5-mile track at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway more than 9 times.
