Study: IU East's local economic impact $59 million

Indiana University East contributes $59 million in economic impact to east-central Indiana, according to a report by Tripp Umbach, an economic development impact analysis firm.

IU announced the study as part of an effort to measure the economic, employment and government revenue impacts of operations and research of all of its campus affiliates. The results are published in the report, "Economic Engine for Indiana: An Economic Impact Analysis."
