LAPEL — Because of the current drought, the Town of Lapel Water Department has greatly increased treatment plant run times due to the increased usage. Therefore, the town is enacting water use restrictions.
You may water vegetable gardens and flowers as needed, but it should be done by hand with a watering can or with a garden hose that has a shut-off attached. Customers are asked not to use any unnecessary water.
The following guidelines are to be used for sprinklers or watering grass:
- Even numbered addresses: Allowed to water on Mondays and Wednesday.
- Odd numbered addresses: Allowed to water on Tuesdays and Thursdays. No watering on Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
