Redisdricting maps prepapred by Republicans in the General Assembly continue the division of the county amoung various state senators and representatives.

However, the local Congressional District is more compact.

Under the GOP proposal, Grant County would be part of four Indiana House districts -- 18, 30, 31 and 32. The county would be divided amoung three state senate districts -- 17, 19 and 21.

The Congressional District would inlcude all of Grant, Madison, Tipton and Hamilton counties as well as parts of Boone, Marion, Howard and Blackford counties.
